UPDATING QUICKTIME SOFTWARE
If you already have Quicktime installed on your system you can check to make sure you have the latest version by opening the Quicktime Program  

then click on Edit > Preferences > Quicktime Preferences 

Once the preferences are open click on the update choice in the drop down menu. 

Then click Update 

you will need to be logged onto the internet.  Quicktime will check an make sure you have the latest updates, if not it will prompt you to download and install those updates.
