SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
To use CETV effectively you will need to have access to a high speed internet access (networked access, cable modem, DSL service,), dial-up access will work, but user will get a series of stills rather than video.  We also recommend a PC using the XP operating system with a 40gb hard drive and 256mb of ram, lesser systems may work, but results will vary.  You will also need to have the Quicktime 6.0 or higher installed on your machine.  You may go to http://www.quicktime.com to get the free installer application.  

QUICKTIME TROUBLESHOOTING

Each course has a syllabus which is a PDF document of all the text of the course and a transcription of the video.  You will need the Adobe Acrobat Viewer plug-in to view this and may acquire this free of charge from Adobe at  http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html .
CETV is best viewed through Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher and you can download a version of this from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp .

CETV can be used with systems that do not meet the above specifications, but results may vary and you will not receive any consistency of service.
