About MIMH
The Missouri Institute of Mental Health
(MIMH) is an educational research branch of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, located in St. Louis on the grounds of the St. Louis Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center at 5400 Arsenal it began in 1962 .
The Institute's Continuing Education Division (CE), established in 1980, has a mission to develop and deliver high
quality training programs and materials for mental health professionals
throughout the state, region, and nation, with a special emphasis on the needs
of public sector mental health professionals in Missouri. There are four other
divisions at MIMH that work along side CE and they are the Behavioral Health
division, Child & Family Mental Health Services division, Evaluation Policy
& Ethics division and the MIMH Library.
Continuing Education-Television (CE-TV)
is a subscription-based
service developed in 2003 by the CE Division of MIMH to deliver a Video Stream, Videos
on Demand, and Interactive Videoconferencing 24-hours per day to subscriber
sites, thereby providing a cost effective means of delivering mental health
continuing education to their employees.
An
On-Line version of CE-TV was developed to provide some of the same accredited
video programs on mental health and related topics, that are presented on CE-TV,
on an open Internet site, where interested mental health professionals can access
them from home or other locations when out of the office.
